Spottiswoode, 1932. Edited by Bonamy Dobree. #570 of only 900 copies. 
6 volumes. Orange buckram over bevelled boards with Chesterfield's 
coat of arms in gilt on front board of each volume, t.e.g. This is 
considered by scholars to be the best edition of "the letters". "The 
standard scholarly edition, invaluable for its Introduction, text, 
Historical Notes, footnotes, and index". Sidney L. Gulick. A 
Chesterfield Bibliography. There are fourteen hundred letters added 
for the first time and all are in chronological order (also a first). 
There are 2618 letters in all. The binding and print quality are 
excellent. This copy was never opened and aside from a small 
indentation to the spine of the first volume and a bit of cover soil, 
this is a fine set.  $850.00
