LEWIS, SINCLAIR. SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH.  A large 10-3/4" x 14" and fairly 
early formal portrait of a pensive Lewis staring down at his 
typewriter by Underwood & Underwood of Washington, D.C.  INSCRIBED and 
SIGNED by the subject vertically on his suit down the left side: "To 
Leo Hessler with the fraternal greetings of Sinclair Lewis Washington 
Oct. 26 1926." Signed photographs by Lewis are uncommon, those of this 
quality and size are virtually unheard of. Minor paperclip impression 
at top. Near Fine   $3500
