Civilite” typeface. Woodcut device on title . Cont. Dutch vellum, with a blind 
tooled central ornament on both covers, within two ruled panels. Title & text 
a bit soiled.     $3,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
Not recorded by Carter & Vervliet in their CIVILITE TYPES. They do discuss in 
detail the Civilite publications of W. Silvius in Antwerp, beginning in 1562. 
This Dutch language edition of the “Twelve Patriarchs” is not recorded in 
OCLC, N.U.C., BL, Karlsruhe, Adams, etc. Adams does record a 1570 edition, also 
by Silvius, but with a different collation.
