(20),208;28;(8),50pp. Illus. with 100 large (about 2/3 of the page) copper engraved 
emblems. A portrait of the author and a large folding frontispiece to part 2 (“La 
Tabla de Cebes”) at p. 200 (of part 1). Title printed in red & black. With the 
half-title. Cont. tree calf nicely rebacked with a red morocco spine label.

This may be a large paper copy? A scarce Spanish edition of Veen’s popular 
emblem book, which first appeared in 1607 under the title “Q. Horati Flacci 
Emblemata.” See Palau 358578 (under “Venio, Oto”). Palau does not mention the 
folding plate to part 2. Praz p.254.
