independent work of Washburn, then clerk to court and later the
state's governor; without the second supplementary volume.

Yorke's principal legal work, in which he argues persuasively that
forfeiture and corruption of blood are justifiable consequences of
treason, examining forfeiture in Athenian, Roman, Jewish and feudal
