London:  Richard Bentley, 1852. First edition, in two volumes (adverts., 
xiii, 293 pp., averts.; 294 pp., adverts.), in green cloth with 
impressed and gilt decoration, gilt lettering.  Green cloth sun-faded to 
brown on spines, corners bumped, small chips and a few splits at top and 
bottom of spines, remnants of a bookplate.  A clean, tight copy of the 
scarce first edition of  this highly collectible classic Canadian work-- 
found near Rice Lake, Ontario, it did not stray far from home.  750 USD
