Examen poeticum duplex sive Musarum Anglicanarum delectus alter cui 
subjicitur Epigrammatum seu poematum minorum specimen novum. Londini, 
Impensis Ric. Wellington, ad insigne chelyos in Coemeterio Divi Pauli, 
1698. Complete and in very good condition (faint scribbled lines to bottom 
of title page, dust smudge to lower right margin of title page and dust 
soiling to the half title and last page but all still readable), 8vo, (16, 
including half title and ad), 219, (4), iii with ad on verso, 56. Title 
page in red and black within double lines.

This volume contains Addison's first five published poems--pages 38 to 49, 
75, 158. Bound in full calf, spine rebacked in calf, fine condition.

Extremely uncommon, no LoC or Harvard holdings and the Yale copy lacks two 
leaves (p6 and 7). $2,800
