1935) written by Holdsworth's uncle, "a clear-headed lawyer with an
eye for essential principles, and a gift for stating them clearly",

friend of Holmes and Brandeis whom Holmes described (to Laski) as

First Irish edition of an exceptional legal treatise, called
"incomparable" by Joseph Story in his own commentary, and (by
Holdsworth) "one of the most remarkable books of all time";
uncommon, one copy only in RLIN in England, at Cambridge.

The only Law French edition of "[t]he best-known of the early
private" law reports, marking the transition from the Year Books in
the late 15th and early 16th centuries and, in this instance,
forming the basis in part for John Baker's modern edition.

exclusively to criminal law, suggested to him by Sir Frederick
Pollock, and characterized "by an originality of approach, a
freedom from academic pretension, and a simplicity of style".

Lately Depending in Parliament, To render more effectual The Act

A defense of the principal modern legislation, still of importance,
limiting the sovereign's otherwise unbounded temporal right to
