American Art Pottery Trade Catalog.
no place, no date.

A real mystery item. This ca.1920 art pottery trade catalog has no
identifying notations and we have been unable to match up any of the items
with known makers. The pieces are crisply molded and nicely designed
-they make me think of certain types of Weller or Fulper or early Van
Briggle. The first plate shows bookends, the next plates low bowls,
planters, and vases, with the pieces getting bigger as you progress, up to
some 12" vases with molded handles. Each item is identified with a number
and a size -a pencil note at the front of the catalog says that they were
available in Sage Green, Black and Jade Green. It's a great catalog -but
we can't identify the maker no matter how hard we try.

Limp black leatherette covers; 11"x9", 10 b/w real-photo prints backed
with canvas, interleaved with stiff card pages where the item numbers and
heights are typed; there are two additional pages laid in loose -these are
11.5"x10", canvas-backed real photos, showing several fancier vases. The
rear of these two plates are each stamped "Stadler Photographing Company".
The covers of the binder are a bit worn and soiled; the photo plates and
interleaved pages are in nice, clean condition; the two laid-in plates
have some soil and stains and are threadbare around the edges. [00781]
