First Edition. Perhaps Baldwin's most effective plea for Americans to 
face the problem of racism and one of the most important books by an 
African-American in the 1960s. This copy SIGNED by the author with the 
added notation "Peace" on the dedication page. Spine of book darkened; 
dustwrapper with typical rubbing to the black portion but complete.
