Garrett, Pat F. "PAT F. GARRETT'S AUTHENTIC LIFE OF BILLY THE KID"

New York; The Macmillan Company: 1927.
First printing of the 2nd, edited edition.

First published in 1892, this edition was redited and annotated by Maurice
Garland Fulton and, according to Adams, is much more historically accurate
than the first edition. The 1892 edition was probably written by Ash
Upson, a newspaperman who was a friend of Garrett's, and it introduced
many of the legends which later authors picked up as factual and repeated.

Hardcover. 6"x9", 233 pages, color frontispiece and b/w plates; covers
with a little wear, rubbed at the tips, spine label perished; former
owner's small label on pastedown. [01583] $125.00
