Near Fine/ No Dust Jacket

In full cream-colored leather with gilt framing on front and back covers. 
Gilt title and decor, and five raised bands on the spine. Bound and made up 
at The Aldine Press, Letchworth, Herts, Great Britain. Everyman's Library 
380, and quite scarce in original leather.

Translated from the Arabic by J. M. Rodwell. Preface by the author. 
Introduction by G. Margoliouth. Toward the front, an Index of the Suras, 
their numbers, and their locations in the book. Single page of addenda 
bound after the Index of Suras. Text is extensively indexed, also. Marker 
ribbon. Pastedowns and endpapers are novelty marbled with gilt pattern 
printed over that. No DJ as-issued.

Slight warp to the fore edges of the first few and last few leaves. Two 
tiny spots of faint discoloration to the head of the text block.
