LINDSAY, Vachel. THE CONGO AND OTHER POEMS. New York:
MacMillan 1914. First Edition. The title poem, subtitled "A
Study of the Negro Race," is Lindsay's best-known work, and
his many successful recitations of the poem truly gave
"voice" to the poet's art in the United States and
prefigured the later Beat/Jazz collaborations. Exceptionally
scarce in the dustwrapper. Fine in an attractive dustwrapper
         with minor edgewear. $1000.00
