Gosse, Edmund W., Memoir of Thomas Lodge, privately printed, 1882.  Small 
quarto, 1/4 black cloth over red paper covered boards.  Front cover 
detached;  overall G+

This copy is ex-Brooklyn Public Library, with the only library markings 
being BPL's small oval bookplate on the front pastedown and a small number, 
presumably an acquisition number, on the title page.

This copy also bears the bookplate of Paul Lemperly, prominent American 
collector and founder of the Rowfant Club, and a tipped-in ALS, dated May 
21, 1900, from Gosse to Lemperly.

While there is no colophon indicating the number of copies, Gosse indicates 
that only 10 were printed and that [Clement King] Shorter had probably 
never seen one.
