[Alfred Fowler]  Collection of 22 issues of periodicals for bookplate 
collectors, most with Alfred Fowler as editor.  Titles include The Booplate 
Chronicle, The Book-Plate Booklet, The Ex Libran, and The Bookplate 
Quarterly.  All are in wraps;  covers of a view are soiled, but all are 
quite presentable.  Some include bound-in proofs of bookplates;  some 
include tipped-in bookplates;  in a very few, one or more tipped-in 
bookplates have been removed.  One issue is about the bookplates of Aubrey 
Beardsley; another has, tipped in, a bookplate of Enrico Caruso;  many 
bookplates discussed are of such luminaries as Sallie W. Hovey. (Please
