set, bound in embossed leather, a.e.g, and marbled eps. With photos, 
illustrations, and maps. Published by Time-Life Books Inc, Alexandria, 
VA. during the 1980s. 8vo. A lovely set, uniformly bound with ribbon 
markers and in near fine condition throughout. Each volume appears 
unread, if ever opened, and all but a few contain the publisher's 
summary and special Civil War Collector's bookplate.

Each volume in this set was photographically reproduced from the first 
editions, preserving the historical authenticity of the original, 
including typographical errors, and minor printing irregularities. The 
publisher's summary provides a brief decsription of the contents of the 
volume and its historical significance. Set out below is a list of the
