xvi,166pp. (the “Sermon” has its own title page). Engraved armorial frontispiece
(some soiling and neatly backed). Cont. calf, a bit stained. Title page a bit
soiled with minor chips at fore-edge. Old water stain at top third of text. Quite
a scarce book. $850.00 (trade discount allowed)
The first American printing of this work (which is dedicated to George
Washington). The frontispiece is engraved by Robert Scot who in 1793 became chief
engraver of the United States Mint. Evans #17195.
