JONES, James. FROM HERE TO ETERNITY. New York: Charles  Scribner's
Sons  1951. First Edition. His first book, winner of the National Book
Award,  and one of the most important novels to come out of World  War
II.  The  1953 film starring Burt Lancaster won an Academy  Award  for
Best  Picture  as  well  as  awards for  director  Fred  Zinneman  and
supporting  cast  Donna Reed and Frank Sinatra. This is copy  #781  of
the  Presentation Edition SIGNED by the author on a special page bound
into  the book. Mild rubbing to spine with just a slight loss of gilt.
Dustwrapper  complete, a little darkened, with about a two-inch closed
tear  along  front spine edge. Very Good in a Very  Good  dustwrapper.
