Chinese. Chinese characters; a dictionary of Chinese Biography; a precis of 
Chinese History and Chronology. It has been reprinted many times into the 
20th century because of its great utility to foreigners reading Chinese 
because of its great usefulness in navigating the culture. This First 
Edition is, however quite rare. Full original cloth, calf title labels, 
gilt. The title labels have flaws, and the backstrip has been laid down on 
matching cloth. Now a Very Good copy. $650.00
