pp.  Sm. 4to. (30 cm + 21 cm). Paper-covered boards (hardback). 
First printing. #293 of 500 numbered copies.

36 page facsimile tipped in followed by 27 page introduction then a 
transcription of the codex into Italian. "Il codice ... completo 
[alla Biblioteca reale di Torino] consta di 18 fogli (recto e verso) 
oltre la copertina."

Compiled between 1505 and 1506, the codex details Leonardo's 
experiments on the flight of birds. Both Otto Lilienthal and the 
Wright brothers were familiar with Leonardo's work from the 1893 
incomplete edition of the codex.

  Boards and first few leaves professionally repaired at the corners, 
spine replaced with archival tape, upper corner at spine torn on a 
few leaves, leaves browning at the edges, all leaves clean. A 
serviceable copy neatly repaired. [25872]  $100.00

be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $6.50 for 
the first book and $2.00 for each additional volume. Books are 
normally shipped USPS Priority Mail. For international orders,
