A very scarce book, by Arnauld (d. 1694), the leader of the Jansenist
movement following the death of Cornelis Jansen in 1638. Arnauld was also strongly
anti-Jesuit and wrote numerous critiques of their order. This text is part of a
long running series (1669-1695) entitled “La Morale Pratique de Jesuites,”
being the 6th of 8 separate works under this series title. A second edition
appeared in 1735. Of the 1692 original, only 3 copies are recorded in the OCLC
World Cat. Not in the BL 17th Century STC.
