Pinchot. And with Illustrations. Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company. 1927. First 
edition, first issue. xiv,(2),276pp. Illustrated with 21 photographs. Tan cloth 
stamped in dark brown. Nicely inscribed by Charles A. Siringo on the verso of 
the frontispiece; dated Sept. 21, 1927. Small ownership rubber stamp of the 
recipient on title, preface and front pastedown. A very nice bright copy.

Siringo (1855-1928) was a cowboy, author and Pinkerton detective. This 
edition was suppressed by the Pinkerton Agency and later in 1927 it was reissued in 
a shorter (262 page) format. Howes S524.
