George Borrow (1803-1881), English writer and traveler, was a 
translator and agent for the British and Foreign Bible Society. This 
work is a translation of a collection of short stories about Cogia 
Nasr Eddin Effendi. Scarce, especially unopened with original jacket.

Ownership label partially affixed to front wrapper, darkening at the 
edges, soiling to rear wrappers, offsetting to rear endpaper, leaves 
clean and unopened (uncut); overall a very good copy in the original 
glassine jacket somewhat darkened with small chips to the edges.
