CARD  SENT TO CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR EDMUND G. (PAT) BROWN. 1963. A small
(5-1/8"  x  4-5/8")  black-bordered  card,  which  Jacqueline  Kennedy
helped  to  design, stating: "Mrs. Kennedy is deeply  appreciative  of
your  sympathy and grateful for your thoughtfulness." Enclosed  within
a  White  House envelope with Jacqueline Kennedy's printed  free-frank
signature  postmarked 17 December 1963. Addressed to "The Governor  of
California  and Mrs. Brown." Edmund G. (Pat) Brown won re-election  as
Governor  of  California in the fall of 1962 after a tough and  heated
campaign  against  Richard M. Nixon, defeating him by  nearly  300,000
votes. Fine with envelope.                                     $150.00
