[192 pgs] Fine/Very good. This type of ship, was first built during
the American revolution. It was later used for piracy, slave
transportaion, privateering and in the War of 1812. An impressive

cloth gilt, t.e.g. End papers designed by W. A. Dwiggins. Original
glassine dust jacket . 4to. [259 pgs] As New. Tells the fascinating
tale of the first American vessel to be built solely as a sea-going
pleasure yacht and its owner, George Crowninshield Jr., a millionaire
eccentric. Written by George's nephew who sailed the schooner "
Cleopatra's Barge II". Very scarce. $280.00

National Literary Bureau, 1888. Illustrated by Thos. Worth. First
edition. Wrappers. 8vo. [128 pgs] Very good. "J. Armoy Knox, the
author, had the yacht Champlain built, and accompanied by
"Adirondack" Murray, sailed on her from Lake Champlain through the
Richeliew river into the Saint Lawrence, down to the Saguenay;
thence out into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, around Nova Scotia, and
to New York via Boston." compiled from weekly letters that were
published in several newspapers, with added illustrations. Original
plain brown paper wrapper, stained on front, staples rusting through.
Light damp stain to margin of contents. Otherwise tight and clean.
