1960).
London: Hydrographic Department, Admiralty, 1950. Second edition, revised,
Full cloth, Folio, 368 pages, Eight large, folded charts in pocket. Near
Fine.
      Detailed gathering and examination of routes for ocean-going vessels,
large and small, between the world's primary ports. Includes sections on
oceanic winds and weather, ice and currents, steamship routes arranged by
ocean, sailing ship routes, and a section of notes and cautions. The 8 large
folded charts called for in the index are present in a pocket on rear
pastedown, along with a supplement containing corrections to 5 December
1960. The original edition of the book was 1923. Bound in dark blue cloth
over boards with gilt spine and upper board lettering. Some minor foxing
around edges of rear pastedown, a few light spots and rubs to exterior
cloth. Gilt remains bright and strong on spine and upper board. Handsome
copy.    $100.00
