1.  FOUR CANDID PHOTOGRAPHS FROM MOVIE, "FADE-IN" 
OF BURT REYNOLDS, ANN FRANCIS, OTHERS. 
Philippines., 1968. Near fine. Mounted vertically 
in frame, four photos, 8 3/4 x 6 3/4, as follows:

Top: Ann Francis and Burt Reynolds leaning 
against convertible, looking at each other. Man 
in foreground sitting on car.

Second: Man walking toward camera. Background 
shows shack and workers (extras?).

Third: Very interesting shot of Burt Reynolds in 
center with his hand on another man's thigh, 
other man's hand on Burt's knee, third man 
looking on.

Last: Street scene with Burt and man in 
foreground, dozens of extras in background.  All 
for $150.00

2.  ORIGINAL  MAUDE ADAMS PHOTOGRAPH.  ca. 1905. 
This photograph measures 8 1/2 x 13". It was 
taken at the studio of Fowler of Evanston, 
Illinois. According to the notes on the verso, it 
was taken about the time Adams was starring in 
the new play, Peter Pan. The author, James M. 
Barrie is said to have written the story with 
Maude Adams in mind, to play the lead.

The ethereal beauty of the actress is well 
demonstrated in this photograph. It is a very 
large (unusually so) graytone cabinet card, 
mounted on gray card stock. The condition is very 
good and the image sharp. The only faults are 
slight wear to the corners.  $130.00<BR> <A

3.  GRENFELL, WILFRED M.D.  ALS AND PHOTOGRAPH. 
6/20/1926. Grenfell was a missionary and doctor 
to fishermen in Labrador.He built schools and 
hospitals for the people there. Manuscript letter 
(1 page) signed and decorated by a small drawing 
of his ship, S. S. Strathcona . The letter was 
written on Newfoundland Government Railway 
stationery with the return address of S. S. 
Caribou. It is acid free matted and nicely framed 
with a reproduction photograph of Grenfell.

4.  (MITCHELL, MARGARET).  ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH OF 
MARGARET MITCHELL IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHE WAS 
STRUCK BY A CAR DRIVEN BY A DRUNKEN DRIVER. SHE 
LATER DIED FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED IN THIS 
ACCIDENT. . This is an AP Wirephoto, showing Miss 
Mitchell lying on the pavement with a crowd of 
people looking on and an ambulance stretcher to 
her right. Approximately 9"-7". Very good 
condition. Included is an article from The 
Witchita Eagle, dated August 13, 1949, about the 
accident, written before she died.  $230.00

5.  REAGAN, RONALD.  SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH, FRAMED 
AND MATTED WITH ACCOMPANYING LETTER .  1983. This 
is a group of items sent to a Massachusetts 
Republican on October 24, 1983 from Ronald 
Reagan. It consists of a signed (in blue ink) 
original black and white photograph of Reagan, 
nicely matted and framed. The photograph is 11 x 
12", the frame 12 x 13". The accompanying letter 
is 2 pages, typed and signed by Reagan on his 
White House stationery (8 1/2 x 11''). Also 
included are an unsigned membership form and a 
response form to be returned to the Republican 
National Committee, a large return envelope and 
the official White House envelope with "Ronald 
Reagan" as return address, which is stamped and 
cancelled. All of these items are in fine

6.  SAYERS, DOROTHY. L.  ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH & 
AUTOGRAPH DOROTHY L. SAYERS.  n.d.. Fine. Dorothy 
L. Sayers is the author of many fine mysteries, 
the most famous of which is The Unpleasantness at 
the Bellona Club, perhaps or The Nine Tailors. 
Both photo and autograph are separately mounted 
on card stock and matted together. 

The photo 
measures 3 1/2 x 5" and the paper on which the 
autograph is written 1 1/2 x 5". The photo 
reveals the author's love for the macabre, as she 
smiles mildly down at the human skull in her lap. 
Photographs of Sayers are as scarce as hen's 
teeth and she seldom gave her. autograph.

7.  SCHWEITZER, ALBERT.  ALBERT SCHWEITZER 
ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH & INSCRIBED CHART. Original 
photograph and inscribed (by Schweitzer) chart of 
his leper hospital. Albert Schweitzer was an 
Alsatian-German theologian, philosopher, 
organist, and missionary doctor in equatorial 
Africa. He received the 1952 Nobel Prize for 
Peace, for his efforts in behalf of "the 
Brotherhood of Nations.

Albert Schweitzer was 
born Jan. 14, 1875 , Kaysersberg, Upper Alsace, 
Germany. [now in France]. He died Sept. 4, 1965 
at Lambaréné, Gabon. The photograph is of 
Schweitzer with an unidentified woman, petting a 
deer (8 x 10"). The chart depicts The Albert 
Scweitzer Hospital at Lambaréné, Gabon (8 x 11"). 
This is inscribed, in Schweitzer's hand "A 
Monsieur Jacques Sarbre avec mes bonnes pensees. 
Albert Schweitzer- Lambarene 19 Mars 1953". Both 
pieces are in fine condition. $725.00<BR> <A

8.  [SIMS, WILLIAM. SOWDEN] 1858-1936. 
PHOTOGRAPH OF WILLIAM SOWDEN SIMS IN HIS 
ADMIRAL'S UNIFORM.  n.d. Signed by the author and 
also signed on the mat by the photographer. 
Inscribed by William Sowden Sims. This photograph 
was purchased from the granddaughter of Burton 
Hendrick, author of The Life and Letters of 
Walter Page and The Victory at Sea which he 
co-authored with the subject of this photograph. 
The inscription reads " To Burton Hendrick in 
grateful recognition of his invaluable help in 
writing The Victory at Sea, a recognition in 
which I am joined by The Chief Censor. Wm. S. 
Sims." The photograph is matted and framed in a 
contemporary black and gilt frame. The mat has a 
small damp mark along the bottom edge. The 
photograph is fine. In World War I, Sims 
commanded United States Operations in European 
Waters. Earlier he had been appointed Naval Aide 
to President Theodore Roosevelt and President of 
The Naval War College.  $500.00
