Duodecimo, lxiv, 506 pages, Two fold-out diagrams. Very Good.
      Handbook for New York legislators in 1875, containing the U.S. and New
York Constitutions with indexes, procedural rules, a variety of information
ranging from election returns to operations of various canals, census
information, and much more. Inside front cover are two fold-out
diagrams--one showing the lay out of the state senate chamber and the other
of the assembly chamber. Each has about a 1" tear at attachment point,
otherwise fine. Bound in red leather over boards with red sprinkled
textblock edges, gilt-stamped spine, blind stamped boards. This copy
belonged to the Index Clerk of the Assembly, Ethan A. Durham, and has his
name stamped in gilt on upper board. Rubs to exterior. Hinges sound.
