impression, one of the last printings done in the same format as the 1st 
edition. Octavo, original black boards titled in silver on spine panel 
colour frontispiece and numerous interior black & white illustrations, plus 
colour pictorial dust wrapper, all by Baynes. Very clean, nearly fine copy 
in dust wrapper which has a few small chips and closed edge tears, the only 
significant chip being about 1/4 inch deep and extending about 1-inch in 
from the head of the spine panel onto the front panel, not affecting any 
lettering. A pleasing copy of the first book published in the NARNIA 
series.  $250.00
