One of the classic texts of Spanish law covering civil and criminal
procedure, and ecclesiastical, commercial and maritime law. First printed in Lima, Peru
in 1603-1617, there are numerous later editions. Our 18th century edition has
many additions and an extensive index. There are numerous references to
American commerce, including the slave trade. See John Carter Brown’s EUROPEAN
AMERICANA; Palau 114545.
