1.  RECORD OF SERVICE OF CONNECTICUT MEN IN THE ARMY & NAVY OF THE 
UNITED STATES DURING THE WAR OF THE REBELLION (CIVIL WAR) 1861-1865. 
Hartford CT., 1889. 2 volumes. Half leather w/ cloth boards. Large 
4to (12 x 9 1/2"). [1071 pgs] This is a very heavy book. The spine 
leather is very scuffed, but the gilt lettering is legible. Both 
joints have cracked and been repaired, leaving the book in sturdy 
condition. The contents are fine with no foxing. Former owner's 
bookplate.There is a fine index (listing every name in the rosters), 
which would be of immense help to a researcher. Amazingly, there is a 
second volume in manuscript form. It was typed and hand-bound with 
heavy paper wraps. The title was written by hand and dated Jan. 1, 
1936. Errata: Record of Connecticut Men in the War of Rebellion and 
three later wars and skirmishes. It contains corrections and 
additions to the original volume.  $295.00

BATTERY D. PENNSYLVANIA LIGHT ARTILLERY. Akron and Pittsburgh., 1909. 
Illustrated by 17 maps and other plates. First edition. (REGIMENTAL). 
Bright red with gilt insignias and lettering. Near fine. Mild fading 
to spine. Owner's blindstamp on title, a number on dedication page 
and owner's attractive insignia label on rear board. Never opened; 
pages uncut and unopened. This Battery was organized in Pittsburgh on 
October 8, 1861 and mustered out on June 26, 1865<BR> <A

WITH AN ACCOUNT OF THE CAVALRY RAIDS, ENGAGEMENTS, AND OPERATIONS 
UNDER HIS COMMAND, FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE REBELLION TO THE 
SURRENDER OF JOHNSTON. New York: United States Book Co. Successors to 
John W. Lovell Company, 1865. First edition. Very decorative two-tone 
brick cloth, gilt lettering to spine. Very good. Hugh Jordan 
Kilpatrick (New Jersey 1836-1881), Major-General in the Union Army, 
was Sherman's Chief of Calvary in The March to the Sea. Two corners 
bumped. Bottom of spine lightly chipped. Twelve illustrations from

4.  ROEMER, JACOB, BREVET-MAJOR.  REMINISCENCES OF THE WAR OF THE 
REBELLION 1861-1865 (THE FLUSHING BATTERY). Flushing., 1897. Edited 
by L. A. Furney, USCT. First edition. Red cloth, gilt lettering and 
decoration on front board. [316 pgs] Near fine. Roemer commanded 
troops at Cedar Mountain, Fredericksburg, Second Bull Run etc. In the 
list of Flushing Battery members at the rear totalling 271, 69 
deserted. Previous owner's signature. Final end paper loose but

5.  STRYKER, WILLIAM. S.  RECORD OF OFFICERS AND MEN OF NEW JERSEY IN 
THE CIVIL WAR, 1861-1865. VOLUME I & II. Trenton, NJ: Privately 
Printed, 1876. First edition. 2 volumes. Original half black leather 
with black cloth boards. 4to. [1758 pgs] Ex-Lib; each volume has 
small black leather patches pasted down to front and rear boards; 
previous owner's bookplate.  Both volumes show minor shelf wear to 
corners of boards and spine.  Vol. ll is shaken and has one signature 
that appears to be loose, but is intact. Includes a 176 page index . 
Comprehensive listing of participants including Staff Officers, Misc. 
Organizations, Veteran Reserve Corps, First Army Corps, U.S. Colored 
Troops, U.S. Army, U. S. Navy and National Cemeteries.  William S. 
Stryker was the Adjutant General.  $360.00

and contents. Previous owner's bookplate. Small tear to first free 
end paper with some loss. Sample of contents:  Northern Troops at 
Disadvantage, Sea Voyage, A Mud March Unparalleled During the War, 
Capture of Fort Burton, at Butte A La Rose, The Garrison of Disease 
and Death, Dark Hours Preceding the Fall of Port Hudson. Includes the
