edition. Brunet, p.322 (1628 ed).
Servert's history of the French Catholic clergy was reprinted in 1608
and a second edition was issued in 1628. RLIN and OCLC show only a
few copies of the second edition. Outside of the BN and French
libraries, the first edition is listed in the Vatican Library, the
BL, and Staats- und Stadtbibliothek Augsburg. ABPC lists none at
auction and only one other work by Severt in the last forty years.
Scarce. With the bookplate of Josephi Courbon ...Sacrae Theologiae
Doctoris....Lugdunensi (Lyon) and from the lib of Aug[ustin] Saddeti
noted on the title page.
Vellum soiled, small remnants of labels on spine and rear board,
upper rear corner worn with some loss, about two dozen leaves with a
few neat underlinings, or marginal lines, or one or two words noted,
scattered foxing, binding tight, impressions good, overall about very

American Express, Mastercard, and Visa. Foreign orders should be in
U.S. funds on a U.S. bank. New York residents please add appropriate
sales tax or forward a tax id number. Libraries and Institutions can
be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $6.50 for
the first book and $2.00 for each additional volume. Books are
normally shipped USPS Priority Mail. For international orders,
postage is calculated individually. All books may be returned in
original condition for any reason within two weeks with prior
notification.
