Boston: Gould and Lincoln, 1852. First printing, Full cloth, Sixteenmo,
[iii], 324 pages, Black & white engraved cuts. Fine.
      Accounts of the explorations of Cabot, Ponce de Leon, Cartier,
Marquette, La Salle, John Davis, Verazzano, and others. SABIN #3229.
Tissue-guarded frontispiece, illustrated title page, and 12 other in-text
illustrations. Bound in red cloth over boards with blind-stamped ornaments
on both boards and spine, gilt-stamped spine title.  One leaf of publisher
ads precedes frontispiece. Minor extremity wear, Slight darkening along
spine, mild dustiness to top edge of textblock. Bright and clean overall,
hinges not cracked.    $150.00
