JOHN  FRANKLIN.  A  PERSONAL NARRATIVE. New York: Harper  1854.  First
Edition.  Second  issue with 1854 title page. Newly bound in half  tan
morocco  with morocco corners and marbled boards matching the original
marbled  endpapers  and edges of the bulked text.  Illustrated  with a
foldout  map and a number of plates. A presentation copy INSCRIBED  by
the  author's father, whose signature closely resembles E. K.  Kane's,
for  Mrs. Robbins: "a memorial of her kind and effective sympathies in
favor  of  the  author," and SIGNED "from her friend, J. K.  Kane"  in
1855.   Occasional  and  infrequent  spotting.   A  Fine  copy  in  an
attractive new binding.                                        $500.00
