KING, Martin Luther. STRIDE TOWARD FREEDOM. New York: Harper &
Brothers (1958). First Edition. The true First Edition of Martin
Luther King's first book. SIGNED on the diagonal by the author on the
first blank. From the collection of Mabel Gee, a long-time Baptist
organizer in Baltimore. There are quite a few King books offered that
are secretarially signed and a lesser number that have an ink-stamped
signature, and alas a seemingly increasing number of often poorly
forged signed copies, but those that are authentically signed are few
and far between. Dustwrapper complete with only minor wear and
soiling and a large, faint waterstain on the rear panel. Very Good in
a Very Good dustwrapper. $6000.00
