and  SIGNED  on the front endpaper by the author to book reviewer  and
editor  Leo  Lerman: "with grateful thanks for/a telephone  call  that
gave/me  hope for 'The Duchess.'/Helene Hanff." Ink a bit faded  but a
fine  inscription.  Fine  in lightly soiled,  Near  Fine  dustwrapper.
