Among the many fine Spring New Arrivals posted on our web site

PEKAR, Harvey. AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT SIGNED by the subject of the
movie AMERICAN SPLENDOR. [1989]. Original AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT SIGNED
consisting of more than 2000 words on 6 pages of both sides of lined
legal-sized yellow paper. Titled "Felipe Alfau," this essay on the
Spanish author Alfau was submitted by Harvey Pekar for inclusion in
Dennis P. Eichhorn's Northwest EXTRA! tabloid. Written in pencil with
some words circled or underlined in red ink by Pekar. The first
paragraph captures Pekar's style: "Some years ago I was browsing in a
second-hand book store and came upon a stubby red volume, Locos, by
Felipe Alfau. I'd never heard of it or Alfau before but a quick look
indicated that it was at least unusual. And autographed, which is
important because if you don't want the book you can always deal it
for something. Price: $3.50. Sold!" General, light wear. Near Fine
                                                                $500.00
