AND AUTHENTIC HISTORY OF THE GREAT HEROES OF THE WESTERN PLAINS,
BUFFALO BILL, WILD BILL, KIT CARSON, DANIEL BOONE, DAVY CROCKETT, SAM
HOUSTON & GENERALS CROOKS, MILES AND CUSTER. INCLUDING ALSO SITTING
BULL, GERONIMO AND MANY OTHER FAMOUS FRONTIERSMAN, INDIAN FIGHTERS &
GREAT INDIAN CHIEFS. Decorated publisher's cloth; 766 pages. With
many black-and-white illustrations. SIGNED by the author on the blank
page facing the title page: "W. F. Cody/'Buffalo Bill'/Campo
Bonito/Feb-26th 1910." A later printing of Howes C-531: "Probably
ghost-written by Prentiss Ingraham" who was a close friend of Buffalo
Bill's. Early owner name on front endpaper. Hinges quite firm for
this bulky book with just a small split at the bottom front gutter;
the cheap paper is also in much better condition than normally found.
Light rubbing. Near Fine and scarce when signed. $2000.00
