A Gazetteer of the State of Pennsylvania (with a map of the state), Thomas 
F. Gordon, Philadelphia, T. Belknap, 1832, First Edition. Full Calf.
Part First: Contains a general description of the state, its situation and 
extent, general geological construction, canals and rail-roads, bridges, 
revenue, expenditures, public debt, etc. Part Second: Embraces ample 
descriptions of its counties, towns, cities, villages, mountains, lakes, 
rivers, creeks, etc., alphabetically arranged. To which is added, a table of 
all the post offices in the state, their distances from Washington and 
Harrisburg, and the names of the Post Masters. Color fold out map on tissue, 
to which a route has been traced in blue opaque ink in Luzerne county and 
the Schuylkill- Northampton area; 3 1/2 inch closed tear at joint rounding 2 
inches of map. Text moderately toned, very clear. Solidly bound. Rubbing to 
boards, moderate joints and extremities. Spine decorated gilt, with gilt 
title. Mild rippling to spine leather. In archival protective polyester 
wraps. 508 pp. 8 vo. Very nice edition. 145.00.
