Beller, Elmer A.  PROPAGANDA IN GERMANY DURING THE THIRTY YEARS 
WAR.  Princeton University Press: 1940.  A scholarly examination of early 
17th century German printed propaganda in the form of illustrated 
broadsides issued by all sides during the Thirty Years War. The examples 
were gathered from many European institutions on the eve on another major 
European war; Beller makes note, in fact, of some of the obvious parallels 
to be drawn between the use of propaganda in the 1630s and the 1930s...

Apparently uncommon; a search of Bookfinder a few weeks ago and again this 
morning turned up no copies being offered for sale, bringing to mind once 
again the tired but true aphorism, "the time to buy a book is when the 
early bird catches the crux of the matter by the hair of its chinny chin 
chin". Or something like that.

Hardcover. 9"x12", 49 pages plus 25 b/w plates; light soil, a little
