MAJOR GENERAL [LATER LIEUT. GEN.] JOHN M. SCHOFIELD AS
SUPERINTENDENT, AND OTHER OFFICERS AND FACULTY.  Approx.
23 1/2 X 18 inches, on vellum.  Elaborately embellished with eagle, flags,
armor, weapons, drum, &c, &c.  (Brigadier General Scriven become the chief
signal officer of the U.S.Army; General Schofield played a prominent role
in  the Civil War in  Missouri and Tennessee and as the commander of 
one of the armies under Sherman.)  Old folds and some wrinkling at 
the bottom margin, otherwise an excellent copy of this handsome and 
historic document. $375.00
