Originally composed in French, in six folio volumes; know by the Title of 
"Picart's Religious Ceremonies and Customs," with more than 500 copper-plate 
engravings by the famous French painter Bernard Picart, [1673-1733]. This 
volume used the abridgement from the English translation (in the same number 
of volumes, large quarto's), with Picots detailed works. It is a work of 
historical reference of nations around the world from earliest records to
