in  original  boards with a new blindstamped brown leather spine  with
matching  corners. The original half pigskin binding is nearly  always
found  deteriorated; this is a very pleasing replacement. Copy #229 of
only  260  copies printed on Ruisdael paper by the De Vinne Press  and
SIGNED  by  the  author  on  the  limitation  page.  Illustrated  with
numerous  photographs.  Fore-edge  and bottom edge uncut.  Old  public
library  bookplate  on front pastedown with the  library's  blindstamp
and  an  ink number at the bottom blank margin of the dedication  page
and  blindstamps  in the bottom blank margin of two text pages.  Later
owner  name  and  presentation on the front free endpaper.  Near  Fine
