Whole Interspersed with Proper Forms, and Calculated for General
Instruction. With Improvements, and a New Chapter on Conveyancing.

pp. 12mo. (4" x 6-1/2"). Contemporary calf, rebacked retaining
original lettering piece. Wear and scuffing to boards. Browning to
margins of endleaves, early owner signature to recto of rear endleaf,
interior otherwise clean. $100.
* Second edition, and the first law book printed in Newark, New
Jersey. (The first edition was printed at Burlington, N.J. in 1796.) A
work which proved valuable to the legal profession by an attorney and

Signature M misbound following H. 12mo. (2-1/2" x 4-1/2").
Contemporary calf, double gilt rules to covers, raised bands, author's
name in ink to fore-edge.  Some rubbing to extremities, front joint
starting at head and foot. Printed in black letter in law French.
Attractive woodcut printer device to title-page.  Slight cropping to a
few preliminaries at top edges, a few annotations in early hand
throughout, interior otherwise fresh. An attractive little volume.

* Third American edition. Reprint of Third London Edition, 1813. With
an appendix of stamp duties. Sir Samuel Toller's work on the law of
executors and administrators was originally published in 1800. Its
final (seventh) edition was published in 1838. A popular treatise, it
was esteemed for its brevity, clarity and clear organization. And it
remained the standard text until the publication of Williams's
