Adams, Frederick B., Jr. “RADICAL LITERATURE IN AMERICA. AN ADDRESS, TO
WHICH IS APPENDED A CATALOGUE OF AN EXHIBITION HELD AT THE GROLIER CLUB IN
NEW YORK CITY” Printed at the Overbrook Press, Stamford, Connecticut in
1939. Edition limited to 650 copies. The essay covers a range of
political, economic and “utopian” movements in America during the 19th and
early 20th century; the exhibition included material from 1796 to 1920.
Hardcover. 7.5”x10”, 62 pages + index; publisher’s red cloth covers (yes-
red, get it?), b/w illustrations and facsimiles, several folding. Some
general soil, spot on top edge, a bit dusty and worn; ex-institutional
with the sole markings being discreet ownership and withdrawn stamps on
the copyright page. Not great, but perfectly useful as a reference copy.

$25.00 net, postpaid.
