Panther's  second book, following his controversial debut SOUL ON ICE,
which  had  made the New York Times list of the ten outstanding  books
of  the previous year. This copy INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author to
Maxwell Geismar, the critic who wrote the introduction to SOUL ON ICE,
"I  will always treasure/our friendship/Eldridge" on 28 March  1969. A
fine  association  copy  from one of the most  important  and  visible
figures of the 1960s. Near Fine in Very Good dustwrapper.      $750.00
