      Document compiled by the Bendix Corporation to provide the press with
information about the Pioneer 10 and 11 missions to Jupiter and Saturn
(Pioneer 11). Includes sections on the history of the project, the launch
vehicle, data processing, concerns about the asteroid belt, explanations of
13 experiments to be conducted, and more. There are details of the plaque
(designed by Carl Sagan) which was affixed to Pioneer 10 to explain its
origin to any intelligent extraterrestrial life it might encounter. Pioneer
11 was ultimately redirected to Saturn after Pioneer 10's successful
exploration of Jupiter, and both missions were extended well beyond their
original objectives. An interesting relic of the space program. Printed card
covers with clear Mylar protective covers, black plastic comb binding. No
