DU BREUIL, A[LPHONSE].  CULTURE PERFECTIONNEE ET MOINS COUTEUSE DU 
VIGNOBLE.   Paris: Garnier Freres; Victor Masson et Fils, 
1863.  First edition.  Octavo, old half morocco with marbled boards, 
edge-rubbed, small name stamp on fly leaf, light foxing on several 
leaves.  Vii,208 pages.  Many text-illustrations.  This copy includes 
pages [201]-208 which
appear to be lacking in many copies and which contain advts for 
agricultural works as well as a 4-page description of "Le Livre de la 
Ferme", a series of which this work is a part.  (Du Breuil was head 
of the course on vines and trees  at the Imperial Conservatory of 
Arts and Crafts.  OCLC locates only 5 copies in the US [4 of which 
are in California] and 2 in France.  Moderately scarce.)
