2 vols. viii,960;iv,928pp. Triple column text. Illustrated with all 138 
engraved plates. Orig. 1/4 straight grained red morocco, gilt, over marbled boards 
(rubbed), spines lightly scuffed & tips a bit worn. Cont. engraved bookplates 
on front pastedowns. First 3 leaves of Vol. II a bit wrinkled and the bottom 
blank margin of the plate index is slightly tattered.     $600.00 (trade

The engraved plates include all areas of natural science as well as the “
latest” forms of machinery, among them “Aerostation” devices such as balloons and
