blind tooled brown morocco, embossed oval design on both covers, gilt 
decorated dentelles and silk endpapers. Binding somewhat rubbed with a few minor 
chips, and hinges repaired. A.e.g. A presentation copy with the author’s full-page 
inscription on a blank preliminary to the book’s dedicatee, Lord Lyndhurst, 
Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain. Lyndhurst’s armorial bookplate is on the
